On Hislop’s Babylon-Paganism Connection

I found this statement by Christine Miller, author of history books used widely by homeschoolers, to be interesting:

In fact, I read Hislop’s work last after reading numerous other works of even greater antiquity, all of which confirmed Hislop’s facts, especially in the first part of the book, the part dealing with the Babylonian connection to paganism. Those resources include Josephus, George Rawlinson’s Five Great Monarchies of the Ancient Eastern World, Jacob Bryant’s Ancient Mythology, and others. This is why, when I read Hislop, his statements concerning Nimrod and Babylon did not surprise me, having encountered evidence for them in the numerous other works I had read in preparation for Story of the Ancient World.

Common Bonds Between Islam and Catholicism

Common Bonds Between Islam and Catholicism – Mike Gendron:

Will the world’s two largest religions converge and be the catalyst for the prophesied one-world religion?  At first glance, the two faiths appear to be vastly different but under close inspection, they have more common bonds than differences. In 1994 the Vatican issued a publication entitled: “Spiritual Bonds Which Unite Us: 16 Years of Christian-Muslim Dialogue.” After extensive study and research, I put forth 10 common bonds that will help unite these two religions…

Conquests versus Crusades

I wanted to find some visuals showing the Islamic conquests and the crusades in the Middle Ages.  Here is a  video I found in case it is of interest to you. The video contains commentary discussing violent Jihad by, of course, Islamists and not all Muslims, in the Middle Ages.  It also shows the Crusades by, of course, some and not all Christians during the same time period. I found the visual helpful to see where the conflicts took place:

The Eastern Antichrist

Mint, Anise, and the Cumin:

Kalon Minaret, Bukhara (4933987001)It may come as a surprise to many modern Christians (even those within modern Reformed circles) that the Reformed Faith has always held that Islam is the second horn of Anti-Christ with the Papacy being the first horn. Some may even bulk at the idea since in their mind the Anti-Christ must declare himself in the Temple and how can Islam do that if it has not been part of the church? Today, I am only going to write about the second horn. My excellent friend Carlos Gonzalez has already written a solid series of articles on the first horn being the Anti-Christ which is the Papacy which can be read here @ https://covenanterreformation.wordpress.com/2015/04/17/the-pope-the-man-of-sin-part-1/ . If you have not already done so I highly recommend reading his articles on his blog regarding the Papacy being the Anti-Christ.

The Future Must Not Belong To Protestants

At least, according to America’s last president, who stated in 2012 that “The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam,” which pretty much by definition includes Protestants:

And America’s current president, who stated on October 20, 2016 at the Al Smith Dinner that “We can also agree on the need to stand up to anti-Catholic bias, to defend religious liberty and to create a culture that celebrates life.”  No similar statement that I know of has been made in favor of Protestants or Bible believers:

These statements show the American government has allied itself with Islam and Catholicism, as the Bible predicted the kings of the earth would do:

Revelation 16:13-14:  And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

As John Gill wrote in his Exposition of the Bible,

And he gathered them together,…. Or rather “they gathered them together”, as the Syriac version renders it; for though the verb is singular, a noun plural goes before it, as in Revelation16:14 and the same spirits that are there said to go forth, to gather the kings together, these will gather them together; will persuade the Papal, Pagan, and Mahometan powers, the remains of them in the several parts of the world, to join together, and make one effort for the reviving of their declining, and almost ruined interests: for which purpose they will be brought together,

What will happen next (hint: Armageddon) is sure to be a great surprise to the world at large.

What Roman Catholics Really Believe: Are Jews and Muslims Christians?

Grace and peace, Saints.

In our last article, we discussed the fact that the Roman Catholic Ecumenical Movement is gaining momentum with every passing day. In the article, we showed you an advertisement for a concert here in Munich featuring a symbol composed of a cross, a six-pointed star, and a crescent moon. The symbol, as well as the music, was dedicated to “The One God.”

In the article, we explained that contrary to popular belief, the cross is not the symbol for Bible-based Christianity, but for Roman Catholicism, as the cross was used by Constantine The Great, founder of the Roman Catholic Church, as a symbol for the pagan sun god, which Constantine worshipped as Sol Invictus. The six-pointed star, the so-called Star of David, is widely regarded as the symbol for Judaism, but the Bible states that those Jews who fell into apostasy used a star to represent Nimrod, whom they worshipped as Moloch and Rempham; and Semiramis, whom they worshipped as Chiun (See Amos 5:26 and Acts 7:43). The crescent moon has come to be known as the primary symbol for Islam, but the crescent moon (as well as the full moon) is also a symbol for many goddesses, including the Egyptian Isis, the Phoenician goddess Ashtoreth, the Roman goddess Diana, The goddess Diana of the Ephesians (Turkey), and the Roman Catholic Virgin Mary.

We further explained that Mystery Babylon, as the worship of Nimrod and Semiramis is known in the Bible (Revelation 17:5), uses symbols to represent the deified couple, and that among these symbols are the cross, star, and moon. The Bible calls Mystery Bible the “mother of harlots and abominations of the earth.” Roman Catholicism uses all three symbols: the cross, the moon, and the six-pointed star, and bills itself the “mother of all churches.”

By these associations we hoped to illustrate that Roman Catholicism is in fact, Mystery Babylon, and the symbol formed by the amalgamation of the symbols for Roman Catholicism, Islam, and Judaism is proof positive that the three religions are united in their worship of the One God, which is none other than The Image of the Beast (Revelation 13): the goddess Semiramis, which the Bible calls The Abomination of Desolation.

Today I will provide proof that this is not conjecture. A Practical Catholic Dictionary gives this definition of “The Heathen”:

“Those who are not Christians, Jews, or Mohammedans [Muslims]. Under Christians are included both Catholics and non-Catholics. Christians, Jews, and Mohammedans worship the One God and so cannot be called heathen” (p. 109). [Brackets and boldface mine]

Definition of “Heathen” from A Practical Catholic Dictionary, p. 109.

Can you believe that? The Roman Catholic Church considers Muslims and Jews Christians! Because Roman Catholics don’t consider Bible-believing Christians to be Christians, but calls us Protestants and heretics, then what Rome is really saying is that Muslims and Jews are also Roman Catholics! I’m not surprised by this, as I have been saying this for years, and even wrote about it in articles such as House of the Virgin Mary, Ephesus and The Roman Catholic Church, Zionism, Stars, and Seashells. But this time, it’s not me saying it: Rome is saying it herself.

The problem, of course, is that neither Muslims nor Jews worship the Lord Jesus Christ, who Roman Catholics claim to worship. If Roman Catholicism, Islam, and Judaism worship the One God–whom Catholics claim is Jesus–yet Muslims and Jews do not worship the Lord Jesus–who Catholics claim to worship–then, for Catholics, Muslims, and Jews to have One God in common, it could only mean that the One God of Roman Catholicism is not the Lord Jesus Christ. Who then, is the One God? Answer: the only “god” that Roman Catholicism, Islam, and Judaism have in common: Semiramis, known in Catholicism as the Virgin Mary, in Islam as Mother Mary, and in Judaism as Miriam. It is no coincidence, therefore, that Roman Catholics and Muslims share a joint shrine at Ephesus, Turkey; and that the Dome of the Rock, Islam’s second holiest shrine, stands where the Jewish temple once stood.

The One God of Catholicism, Islam, and Judaism is The Woman, Semiramis, who was worshipped in Mesopotamia as Ishtar “The Woman,” in Rome as Domina or Despoina “The Lady” (The Two Babylons, p. 103), and mentioned in the Bible as the “Virgin Queen of Babylon” (Isaiah 47:1), the “Lady of Kingdoms” (Isaiah 47:5), and the “Queen of Heaven” (Jeremiah 44:17-19). Could it be merely a coincidence that the Roman Catholic Virgin Mary is known in every country in the world as Our Lady and the Queen of Heaven?  If there are too many coincidences, there are no coincidences.

If you are a Bible-believing Christian, you should be very encouraged to know that as terrible as all this sounds, it is actually a fulfillment of biblical prophecy, as the Bible tells us that “all the world shall worship him [the Pope]” (Revelation 13:8). Before the Lord Jesus opened my eyes, I used to wonder how Muslims, known for their fanatical devotion to Allah and the Prophet Muhammad, or the Jews, who pride themselves as being the chosen of God and the children of Abraham, would ever rally around the Pope.  I don’t wonder anymore. The Virgin Mary, the “One God,” is the key.

The One World Church is not coming; it’s already here.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

Zionists or Jesuits? (Debate)

An interesting debate over who really controls the world. I do not consider any of these sources entirely reliable, but the debate is interesting nonetheless:

No Longer the City of Popes

Flag of France with islam symbol‘De Villiers paints a grim picture of French Catholicism: “Avignon is no longer the city of the Popes, but of the Salafis”. In Saint-Denis, where the French kings and Charles Martel are buried, “tunics and beards now dominate, and girls are dressed in the Islamic shrouds”. If a parish is still alive there, it is thanks to the zeal of the Christian community of Africans and Tamils’…

‘”France is no longer a Catholic country”, writes Frederic Lenoir, editor in chief of Le Monde des Religions. Le Figaro wondered if Islam can already be considered “France’s prime religion”.’

Jesuits and the Jewish State

An interesting quote from the Jesuit revue Civilta Cattolica on the existence of Israel:
Declaration of State of Israel 1948 2

1827 years have passed since Jesus of Nazareth’s prophecy that Jerusalem would be destroyed, that the Jews would be exiled as slaves among the nations and remain scattered to the end of time…. According to the holy scriptures, it is incumbent on the Jewish people to live forever scattered and wandering among the gentile nations, in order to provide testimony to Jesus, not only via the writings, but by means of their very existence. Being that Jerusalem has now been rebuilt, to become a center for the renewed Israeli State, we are duly bound to add this is a direct contradiction to Jesus’ own prophecy.

The Future Conversion of the Jews

Wilhelmus à Brakel, The Christian’s Reasonable Service:

Buchbinder-Rabbi PrayingQuestion: Will the Jewish nation always be a rejected nation, or will the entire nation yet come to repentance, believing and confessing that the Messiah has already come, and that Jesus is the Christ?

Answer: When speaking of the conversion of the Jews, we understand this to refer to the entire nation, and not only to Judah and Benjamin who had returned from Babylon and lived in Canaan until the destruction of Jerusalem. Rather, it also refers to the ten tribes. These tribes neither remained together nor are they hidden in an unknown corner of the world, as the Jews fabricate. Instead, they partially intermingled with the eastern nations, forsaking the Jewish religion. Another part, having dispersed themselves among the nations of the earth, continued to adhere to their religion; whereas a very large multitude also returned to Canaan and intermingled with the other Jews. Anna, the prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel from the tribe of Aser, served God at Jerusalem in the temple (Luke 2:36). Furthermore, very many from the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi did not return from Babylon. Among those who did return were also very many who again left their native land due to internal disturbances, and thus were dispersed throughout the entire world among various nations, still maintaining the Jewish religion. James wrote to the “twelve tribes which are scattered abroad” (James 1:1). The dispersed Jews came from all manner of nations to Jerusalem on the feast days for the purpose of worship, as is to be observed in (Acts 2:5-11).

After the destruction of Jerusalem, the entire Jewish nation was dispersed and no longer has a specific residence. We are speaking here of this nation without distinction, and we believe that it will acknowledge that Jesus is the Christ—the Messiah who was promised in the Old Testament and anticipated by the fathers. This is the general sentiment of the theologians of all ages—even Lutheran and papist theologians. There are, however, also those who doubt this, and some deny it. In order to confirm this matter, we shall not now say all that can be said about it. Rather, we shall only take two proofs from the New Testament and give them a place of prominence, since they are not subject to any evasive arguments of substance. After having given a clear exegesis of them, the few proofs we shall present from the Old Testament will give us more clarity and steadfastness in this matter.
