Some recent-ish Rome and eschatology-related headlines:
Climate of fear in Vatican is very real. Just one quote:
In his editorial in the upcoming December issue of LifeSite’s Faithful Insight magazine, John-Henry Westen relates more of what we discovered.
“… Catholic universities in Rome are watched and professors’ lectures screened to ensure they fall in line with a liberal interpretation of Amoris Laetitia. Clerics are reported to superiors if they are overheard expressing concerns about Pope Francis. Many are afraid to speak openly, even though in the past they were always very willing. Vatican reporters told us they were warned numerous times not to report on the dubia.”

Shaun Willcock of Bible Based Ministries:
His name is Arturo Sosa, and he was elected to be the new Superior General of the Jesuit Order. As such, he is now the leader of the world’s Jesuits. They met in Rome in October to elect him, after his predecessor, Adolfo Nicolas, resigned after reaching the age of 80.
To most, one man replacing another as Jesuit general would mean little, if anything. Just another election of a leader of a religious order within the Roman Catholic institution. But to those who know the true history of the Jesuits, and their modus operandi, any election of a new Jesuit general is of immense importance. And this becomes of incalculably more importance, when the pope of Rome himself is a member of the Jesuit Order!
For in truth, Francis I, the first openly Jesuit pope in history, is not the man who is in charge of the Roman Catholic institution. The Jesuit general is the real power behind the papal throne. He pulls the strings, and the pope dances. And unless one properly understands this fact, it is impossible to understand the Roman Papacy at all, and particularly the Roman Papacy with a Jesuit on the throne!
For here is the grim truth: the Jesuits are unique among all Roman Catholic orders. When they were created in the sixteenth century, they had as their mission the destruction of Protestantism. But in order to fulfil this mission, as well as to accomplish their other objectives in the world, they knew that they had to control the popes of Rome themselves. And this is precisely what they achieved, at a very early date. History reveals these facts. The Jesuits pretended to lay themselves at the feet of the pope, to be his willing servants, to go wherever he wanted them to go and to do whatever he wanted them to do. But this was all a front. In truth, they obeyed only one man, and it was not the pope. It was their general. They were, from the start, fanatically devoted to carrying out his orders – and only his – throughout the world. And so they did. And at the same time, the Jesuit general came to control the pope. Not just a pope here and there, but virtually every pope. They became so powerful in the Vatican that they manipulated the very elections of popes, and then they placed their powerful hands on the papal shoulders and directed their movements, speeches, actions. And if a pope dared to cross them, they did not hesitate to remove him, even by assassinating him! This was done often. It did not take the popes long to realise that if they wanted to maintain a semblance of power and enjoy their luxurious lifestyles in the Vatican – indeed, if they wanted to continue to enjoy life itself – they had better obey the Jesuit general in all things.
As time went by and the sheer power and influence of the Jesuit general over the pope became evident even to the masses, the general came to be known as the “black pope”, the one directing Vatican affairs from the shadows. “In Roman Catholic circles it is well known that the Black Pope is the term used for the General of the Jesuits. As the Pope is always robed in white, and the General in black, the contrast is obvious. But those Romanists who do not greatly love the Jesuits, and their number is not limited, use the term as indicating that the Black Pope rules the White Pope.” The Jesuits came to be universally feared throughout the Roman Catholic world, and universally hated as well.
And then in recent times the world witnessed an extraordinary thing, brought about by the Jesuits behind the scenes in the corridors of power in Rome. They placed one of their own on the papal throne! He was Jorge Mario Bergoglio, and he became Pope Francis I in 2013…
“More than half of evangelical pastors say Pope Francis is their brother in Christ.
More than one-third say they value the pope’s view on theology, and 3 in 10 say he has improved their view of the Catholic Church.
Those are among the findings of a new study of 1,000 Protestant senior pastors, released this week from Nashville-based LifeWay Research…”

The 2016 abomination
1986: The Start of It All
Way back on October 27, 1986, members of many different religions came together at Assisi, birthplace of the Roman Catholic “saint”, Francis, for a day of prayer for “peace”. This massive interfaith gathering was at the instigation of the pope of Rome, John Paul II. Such was the power and authority of this man that at his call, not only did leaders of various religions gather from around the world to “pray”, but three governments, and terrorist guerillas in 11 lands, held a 24-hour truce!
How well we remember that event! Although inter-religious dialogue had been going on for decades already, and even meetings between various religious leaders, nothing like this had ever been seen before. There was the pope of Rome, right at the centre of the greatest assembly of religious leaders in history! It was an interfaith Babel of epic proportions, an abomination in the eyes of the Lord.
The 1986 abomination
The representatives of each religion prayed according to their own rites. The so-called “Christian” service was led by John Paul II, the Anglican archbishop of Canterbury, Robert Runcie, and Eastern Orthodox patriarchs. These men, the whole lot of them, were not, by any biblical criterion, true Christians. John Paul II, the biblical Antichrist, head of the most iniquitous religious system to ever disgrace the earth; Runcie, head of the effeminate, spineless, facing-both-ways religious system which arrogantly and erroneously calls itself “the Church of England”; and leaders of the Eastern Orthodox branch of the false, paganised “christianity”, icon-worshippers, Soviet stooges. The god they were praying to was not the sovereign God of the Bible.
Elsewhere in the city of Assisi at the same time, Buddhists prayed mantras in a Roman Catholic “church” building, while Shinto priests chanted outside. Four Indian religions prayed together: Hindus, Sikhs, Zoroastrians, and Jains. At two other locations, Muslims and Jews prayed. And various others.
The Word of God commands true Christians to be separate from the world and from false religions, and not to unite with those still in darkness. “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? and what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? and what agreement hath the temple of god with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty” (2 Cor. 6:14-18).
Not only were John Paul II, Robert Runcie, and all those other so-called “Christian” leaders participating in a religious event with the leaders of the dark, satanically-inspired religions of the world such as Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, and all the rest, but they themselves – these men claiming to be “Christians” – were unbelievers, unrighteous, in darkness, servants of Belial, infidels, and part of the temple of idols! They were not part of the true Church, the temple of the living God; God did not dwell in them, nor walk in them; they were not His people! They had not “come out from among them”, they were not separate from them, because they were as much a part of this world’s night, and of false religion, as all those idol-worshipping Hindus or Mohammed-serving Muslims! What happened at Assisi all those years ago was not Christians sinfully uniting with people of other religions to pray, but heathens pretending to be “Christians” uniting with other heathens to pray!
There were no true Christians at that iniquitous event.
2016: Three Decades On
Well, thirty years have passed. And during all this time great strides have been made in inter-religious dialogue and inter-religious “unity”. And so, John Paul II’s successor in the Vatican, the Jesuit pope, Francis I, decided to do it all again in 2016, and to re-create that moment when the devil’s religions got together and said to the world, “See? We’re all praying together for peace!”
And thus it was that Francis called for another “Assisi” – another “World Day of Prayer” – to be held in the same city. And representatives of various religions again heeded his call, assembling in Assisi in 20 September 2016 to relive the glory days. And if it didn’t quite match the hype of 1986, this was only because what was so novel and momentous back then has now become far more commonplace around the world, with “mini-Assisis” being held in all kinds of venues. Tragically, the abomination of witnessing so-called “Christians” praying together with people of various religions just doesn’t raise that many eyebrows anymore.
Some Rome and eschatology-related headlines from the past few weeks:
via The Still Man:
The Vatican may soon issue a formal apology for the Roman Catholic church’s historical persecution of Bible-believing Protestant Christians. During a recent homily, Pope Francis, the False Prophet of Revelation 13, said,
“Jesus, before the Passion, prayed for the unity of Christians, so that they might be one—as He and the Father are one—that the world might believe. But within the Church there are those who “sow weeds,” who divide and destroy the community with their wagging tongues.”
“The unity of the Christian community,” he said, “is a witness: a witness to the fact that the Father has sent the Son. But achieving unity is very difficult.”
He then went on to say this:
“We have to seek forgiveness for our history, for having waged war against our Christian brothers,—divisions which continue even today.”
“Those who sow weeds,” I believe, refers to those Protestants who know the truth; those Protestants who know that all cumbaya rhetoric aside, the Roman Catholic church and its Pope always have been and always will be the irreconcilable enemy of Protestant Christianity.
Jack Chick, in volume 16 of the Crusader Series, entitled “The Four Horsemen,” says that according to former Jesuit priest, Alberto Rivera, the Vatican is planning to one day formally apologize for the Holocaust. Perhaps this is a lead up to that event. The Roman Catholic church has always been the bitter enemy of both the Christian Church and Israel and has sworn to destroy both—and it will pull out all the stops during the Great Tribulation towards this end.
You must understand that the Roman Catholic Council of Trent declared Martin Luther and all Bible-believing Christians heretics and placed them under one hundred twenty-five curses. Beginning with Vatican II, the Roman Catholic church ostensibly left off the incendiary rhetoric and began to call Christians “separated brethren.” But the reality is that the Vatican has never repealed the decrees of the Council of Trent and follows them to this very day. Bible-believing Christians are still considered heretics who deserve to die.
Charles Chiniquy, in the book, Fifty Years in the Church of Rome, speaking on the hatred the Roman Catholic church holds towards Christians writes:
“The Roman Catholics [feel that they] have not only the right, but it is their duty to kill heretics” (p. 78). [brackets mine.]
He then goes on to quote the Roman Catholic church father, “Saint” Alphonsus Liguori to have written:
“Though heretics must not be tolerated because they deserve it, we must bear with them till, by a second admonition, they may be brought back to the faith of the Church. But those who, after a second admonition, remain obstinate in their errors must not only be excommunicated, but they must be delivered to the secular powers to be exterminated.” [Emphasis mine.]
Think about that and consider what the United States government did to the Branch Davidian church, in 1993, during the siege at Waco, Texas, when it burned those men, women, and children alive. Think about that and consider what the Philadelphia police department did to the Move Group, in 1985, when it burned those men, women, and children alive. It is important to understand that both those groups had religious beliefs that were very un-Catholic.
The Roman Catholic church feigns friendship for the time being in order to beguile Christians to go along with its One World agenda. Their reason for courting Christians, according to Ligouri, is to bring them “back to the faith of the Church.” They want to unite the Roman Catholics and Protestants in the Vatican’s One World Church. But, once they achieve their ends, the mask will come off and the poor Christians who fell for the deception will see Rome’s true colors. History will repeat itself. Don’t be deceived!
“Christian brothers” could also mean the Eastern Orthodox Church, which Rome has too persecuted, but the Pope’s use of the term “wagging tongues” and that he says they cause division makes me believe he is talking about Protestant preachers who preach against Rome.
Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

Pope Francis I, September 2014:
“Thus, this is “our hope: we are not orphans, we have mothers”: first of all Mary. And then the Church, who is Mother “when she follows the same path of Jesus and Mary: the path of obedience, the path of suffering, and when her approach is to constantly learn the way of the Lord”.”
“These two women — Mary and the Church — carry on the hope which is Christ, they give us Christ, they generate Christ in us”, the Bishop of Rome emphasized. Thus “without Mary, Jesus Christ would not have been; without the Church, we cannot go forward”. They are “two women and two mothers”…
Francis concluded by recalling that “as our fathers left Paradise with a promise, today we are able to go forward with hope: the hope we are given by Mary, steadfast at the Cross, and our hierarchical Holy Mother Church”.”
