“Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government”.

…which threatens globalism…
From a December 30, 2016 article:
European Union (EU) nations must set up a network of public agencies to remove ‘fake news’ from circulation and impose fines, Italy’s antitrust chief has said.
Asserting that ‘fake news’ is driving populism, Giovanni Pitruzzella told the Financial Times the internet must not be allowed to remain a “wild west”.
Shaun Willcock of Bible Based Ministries:
Articles sufficient to fill libraries have been written, and will yet be written, by those inside the U.S. and around the world, analysing the victory of Donald Trump over that Jezebel, Hillary Clinton, in the 2016 presidential election, and it is not my intention to write reams about it myself, repeating what so many others have said. But a few comments are in order, from one who is an outsider looking in, who loves the great land of America.
It was certainly an astounding victory, considering the forces ranged against him. No question about that. The entire leftist-dominated media, worldwide, was against him, and attacked him in every possible way. The pope of Rome has no love for him, especially since he threatened to close the porous U.S.-Mexico border to the tens of thousands of illegal Roman Catholics from Central and South America who are flooding into the U.S., and the pope’s opposition to him meant millions of Roman Catholics were opposed to him as well…
Far from being unique, he is simply the loudest, the most outrageous and now the most powerful standard-bearer for a wave of nationalism that is utterly transforming the politics of the Western world and the balance of power for a generation to come.
JERUSALEM — Donald J. Trump’s stunning election victory on Tuesday night rippled way beyond the nation’s boundaries, upending an international order that prevailed for decades and raising profound questions about America’s place in the world.
For the first time since before World War II, Americans chose a president who promised to reverse the internationalism practiced by predecessors of both parties and to build walls both physical and metaphorical.
They awakened the sleeping giant, the great middle class of America. On this historic night, the average citizens of the United States roared and joined Brexit in voting against globalism and in favor of nationalism.
Some people are comparing the Brexit vote and even Donald Trump to the Magna Carta and the Declaration of Independence. There are clear similarities.
The Brexit vote was about divorcing Britain from the overbearing socialist bureaucrats in Brussels. Trump’s presidential campaign was about destroying the overbearing globalist elitists in Washington – regardless of their party affiliation.
The self-governing citizens of the United States have decided that they have had enough of their elite, globalist, one-world leadership and have thrown them out.
“It is all part of the same thing,” Coulter said about the issues Trump won on: Jobs, economy, immigration, and trade.
“That is globalism vs. nationality.”
So in one year, we’ve had Brexit (hopefully still in progress) and now a possible Amerexit from the global order. We see a slow turning against the attempt to create a one world totalitarian government. This is consistent with a historicist interpretation of Revelation 16 and 17, where the globalists eventually turn on the papacy and destroy it after becoming disillusioned with its agenda. One can only hope this is the beginning of the end for the papacy and the start of the liberation of the nations.
It is interesting to me that some interpreters see the situation coming to a head in 2017:
“The downfall of the Papacy, according to Fleming, is going on; the Mohammedan Antichrist will follow, and about A.D. 2000 (Jewish reckoning, about 2017 on the Julian calendar–RB), the millennial epoch will begin. ” Source: Puritan Downloads
Time will tell if that is the case (at least one writer thinks it isn’t). If so, we are in for an interesting ride over the next few months.
