Here is the current Pope stating that God Himself is a sinner [emphasis added]:
The Pope reflected on the Sunday reading from the Gospel of Luke in which a young Jesus stayed in Jerusalem in the Temple, causing great distress to Mary and Joseph when they could not find him.
“For this little ‘escapade,’ Jesus probably had to beg forgiveness of his parents,” the Pope suggested. “The Gospel doesn’t say this, but I believe that we can presume it.”
Let’s work through this. According to the current Pope, Jesus had to ask forgiveness from his parents. If He had to ask for forgiveness, then that means He sinned while on earth. If He sinned, then He could not have been the promised Messiah and could not have taken away the sins of the world because He would not have been an umblemished sacrifice. Moreover, being God Himself, that means that God Himself would be a sinner. So the current Pope can only offer people a sinful God who cannot save them from their sins. Given this, If I were a Roman Catholic, I’d immediately start looking for a truly holy and powerful God who can actually save me. Thankfully, such a God does exist and has spoken through the pages of the Holy Bible. I urge you to search for Him while He can still be found.
